Children’s Ministry

“The kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these…”

We want our kids to learn to love Jesus, and we want to help our parents teach their kids to learn to love Jesus.

 Here’s how:

Sunday Morning

Sunday School (9:00-10:00)

Preschool through 4th grade are divided into 3 classes–Preschool (Room 106); K/1st/2nd (Room 105); 3rd/4th (Room 108).  Using the FaithWeaver curriculum from Group Publishing, the children work through the entire chronology of the Bible over the course of a three year rotation.  Whether studying from the Old Testament or the New Testament, the children are discipled toward salvation by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Club 56 (the 5th/6th grade class) uses the same curriculum (age appropriate to 5th/6th grade).  They meet in the annex outside the building.

Children’s Church (@10:45*-11:30) *Children begin in the adult worship service with their parents at 10:15 and are dismissed from there to children’s church.

During our worship hour, we offer Children’s Church for kids ages 3 through 1st grade. Parents who have children in the children’s church classroom are scheduled on a rotating basis to teach the children’s church class.  Songs, games, stories, crafts and snacks are used to introduce the children to the truths of God’s Word and His love for them.   Parents may walk their children to Room 108 when they have been dismissed from the worship service and pick up their children from the same room.

At EEFC, our desire is to partner with parents in training children.  To support this effort, we keep our 2nd grade students and older in the worship service.  For these students, we provide sermon journals to help them follow along.  Sermon journals can be acquired from the Children’s Director.

awana

AWANA, Wednesdays 6:45 pm (during the school year)

The AWANA Club is an international program for children offered Wednesday nights during the school year.  AWANA introduces kids to Christ and encourages them to memorize God’s word in a fun and exciting way.

AWANA at EEFC looks different from the traditional AWANA.  In order to encourage family discipleship and memorization, we all learn the same verses and do the same lesson each week, Cubbies through Truth & Training. We offer a separate memorization booklet for these lessons.  The traditional books are available to each family, but our emphasis is not on book completion.  If you have questions about this unique format, please contact the Children’s Director.

Clubs:

  • Cubbies – ages 3 & 4
  • Sparks – Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade
  • Truth & Training – 3rd through 6th grade
