The EFCA is an association of nearly 1,500 churches, joined together by a mutual committment to serve and glorify God by multiplying healthy churches around the world. Through the EFCA association we support and participate in local and world mission and compassion ministries.
Hilltop Urban Church serves "financially challenged" folks of our commuity who because of their past, disabilities, problems, race- whatever, you name it - have a hard time finding a place to be accepted and belong, a place where they can grow in Jesus and be somebody in the Kingdom of God! In addition to general support, East EFC specifically supports Heath Kintzel, Hilltop's youth minister. Hilltop is an EFCA church.
Iglesia Evangelica Libra, also known as Genesis EFC, has a strong outreach ministry to the Spanish-speaking community in Wichita. East EFC is providing scholarships for theological training to help Iglesia expand their ministry.
Michael returned from the mission field with ReachGlobal in Venezuela recently. He joined the Midwest District in a newly created part-time position as Hispanic Ministries Coordinator. He is also serving as pastor at the EFC church in Alma, NE where he and his family now live.
The EFCA churches in Kansas and Nebraska form the Midwest District. Through the district, we join with other churches to plant churches. Our pastors often serve on advisary committees for Kansas church plants.
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) is dedicated to the development of servant leaders for the global church. The core focus is the Master of Divinity degree to prepare pastors, teachers and missionaries for many kinds of service.
